Directions FROM ALEXANDRIA:

From Alexandria, drive west on Louisiana
Highway 28 for 12 miles to Louisiana Highway 121 at
Gardner. Turn left (south) and go 0.25 mile to Forest Road
279 (Valentine Road). Turn left (south) on Hwy 279 and go
1.5 miles to Forest Road 282, where you will find the
recreation area entrance, a signed location with a fee
station. After the fee station, turn right onto the second
paved road you reach which is the Valentine Lake Day-Use
Area. When you reach the paved parking area of the day-use
area, turn right onto the gravel spur road which leads you
to the group-use area.

Directions FROM SHREVEPORT:

Take I-20 east to exit 33 (Haughton/Filmore). Go to the right and then take an immediate left on Hwy 3227, which deadends into Hwy 164. Take a right on 164 and go about 4 - 5 miles until you reach the town of Doyline. Take a right at the flashing caution light (Hwy 163). Keep straight about 8 miles. Look for Lake Bistineau State Park Area 1 sign to the right. Turn left to enter main gate.
There is a booth at the entrance with a map. Follow signs to group camp one.

FROM MONROE:

Take I-20 west to exit 47 (Minden/Sibley). Turn left on Hwy 371 to Sibley. Turn right on Hwy 164 to Doyline. Turn left on Hwy 163 to Lake Bistineau State Park Area 1.
